INTEGRATED WELLNESS CLINIC

SJGH FMRP serves the communities of San Joaquin County that are stricken by the opioid overuse crisis. Our program has become committed to providing the necessary clinical services for our patients and their families. Our residents are trained on how to provide appropriate care and guide patients to the resources available.

Our Integrated Wellness Clinic is a comprehensive clinic that focuses on helping patients in recovery utilizing various techniques. Not only do we manage opioid use disorder we also manage other substances, such as alcohol use disorder and tobacco use disorder. Our team includes residents, psychologists, social workers, substance abuse counselors, nurses, and medical assistants who work collaboratively to assists patients and their families in a supportive setting.

Residents have MAT clinic experience longitudinally over their three years of training. All of our attending physicians are all trained in MAT training, and have their X-Waiver. Residents gain experience with motivational interviewing, harm reduction techniques, working with community programs, and appropriate prescribing and monitoring of oral buprenorphine/naloxone. Residents also attend training to make them eligible for their X-Waiver.
